What influences the creation as well as the development of women-owned businesses? What contributes to the diversity of these enterprises? At the opening of the seminar "Women and Global Entrepreneurship. Contextualising everyday Experiences", Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) presented four reasons why it is important and useful to take a research-based look at the contexts in which women's businesses are created.
