Family businesses in Europe are currently facing many challenges. How can they master them and how can Mittelstand policy support them? Prof. Friederike Welter, Prof. Alfredo de Massis (Freie Universität Bozen/Italie), Prof. Arnis Sauka (Stockholm School of Economics, Riga/Lettland) and Prof. Ute Stephan (King´s College London/UK) analyse the current situation of family businesses based on their respective academic research results and provide precise recommendations for economic policy in their article "Von einer Krise zur nächsten? Familienunternehmen im 21. Jahrhundert".

The article has been published in the journal Perspektiven der Wirtschaftspolitik (Vol. 22, Issue 4, only in German).
