How does the European legislation on sustainable financing affect the Mittelstand? Researchers at the IfM Bonn are currently investigating this question in a study on behalf of the Siegen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the regional savings and cooperative banks.
The IfM researchers presented the first results of their research to entrepreneurs at a panel discussion in mid-August. After this, Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) discussed the challenges of dealing with the new framework conditions, the effects of the regulations on financing processes and the possibilities of the Mittelstand policy with representatives of banks and two SMEs.
