IfM Publications Sustainability and digitalisation in young and established companies

Do start-ups and established companies differ regarding their sustainability efforts and the extent of their digitalisation? Dr Natalia Gorynia-Pfeffer and Julia Schauer (both RKW Competence Centre, Eschborn) have examined this question in their current policy brief for the publication series "Entrepreneurship in Focus" by Förderkreis Gründungs-Forschung and IfM Bonn.

Using the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, they found that ecological aspects already play an essential role in decisions regarding the future of newly founded and established companies. In contrast, digital technologies are more likely to be used by founders than in established companies.
