Who belongs to the Mittelstand? What fields of work can be found in the Mittelstand companies? To what extent might business studies be interesting for school leavers? At the stand of the IfM Bonn and the Chair of Management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises & Entrepreneurship, visitors to the "Open University Day" on 13 May received a wealth of information about the Mittelstand. Pupils could test themselves to see if their dream job might be in this area in the future. Knowledge could also be communicated in a playful way using the Mittelstand quiz.
The Institut für Mittelstandsfotrschung (IfM) Bonn cooperate with the University of Siegen since 2013. The President of the IfM Bonn, Prof. Dr Friederike Welter M.E.A., also holds the professorship for business administration, particularly management of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship, in Siegen.
