Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) has been appointed as a member of the advisory board of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
The Advisory Board is responsible for advising BaFin on issues related to its supervisory duties. Furthermore, it assists BaFin in the further development of supervisory principles. Its members include representatives from academia, the banking and insurance industries, consumer protection organisations, businesses, trade union and the Deutsche Bundesbank.
