Participation in external events Covid 19: Challenge and Opportunity

At the European SME Assembly 2020 "Building a sustainable and resilient future together", Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen), Prof. Dr. Ute Stephan (King's College, UK), Prof. Dr. David B. Audretsch (Indiana University/USA), Prof. Dr. Alfredo De Massis (Free University of Bolzano/Italy) and Prof. Dr. Arnis Sauka (Stockholm School of Economics, Riga/Latvia) discussed the impact of Covid 19 for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter outlined how an SME policy could look like after Corona. She emphasised that the diversity of the businesses as well as its contribution to society and its willingness to innovate must be taken into account.

The conference, which this year was under the patronage of the German EU Council Presidency, was held online on 16 and 17 November 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
