Are companies able to prepare themselves for crises? What distinguishes resilient businesses? Dr Annette Icks used the example of the Covid 19 pandemic to show at an event organised by the New Quality of Work Initiative in mid-January that good capitalisation helps to avert crises.
"How a company copes with a crisis depends very much on the entrepreneur and his or her actions before and during the crisis situation. The smaller the company is, the more this applies," explained the IfM project manager. In her experience, however, there is still much more discussion about the resilience of employees than about the resilience of entrepreneurs.
