About half of the self-employed households can no longer maintain their standard of living if the self-employed income declines by 37%. This is the result of Dr. Stefan Schneck's analysis in view of the Covid 19 pandemic.

In his working paper "Income loss among the self-employed: implications for individual well-being and pandemic policy measures", he shows that such a negative development of self-employed household income not only affects the individual well-being of the main earner, but also his opinion of social cohesion in society.
