Guests at the IfM Focus on entrepreneurial groups

For a long time, research has regarded entrepreneurs as individuals. In the meantime, entrepreneurship researchers are also looking at groups of entrepreneurs. Dr. Michael Weinhardt and Dr. Isabell Stamm, Institute of Sociology (Technical University of Berlin), for example, are using various data to examine the developmental dynamics in entrepreneurial groups.

Dr. Michael Weinhardt presented the various data and first results in the virtual IfM Forum. According to this, 70% of the groups of enterprises consist of two persons, whereby the distribution of roles is different. The most common constellation is owner and managing director. Women are still significantly less likely to be found in leading positions than men.
