Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Friederike Welter was appointed to the University Council of the University of Siegen on 11 December. Besides the IfM President and professor at the University of Siegen, the Council comprises 6 external and 3 internal members.
The University Council is a central body of the University of Siegen. It consults the Rectorate and supervises its management. Its tasks include approving the university development plan and the university's business plan, supervising the economic management of the Rectorate and issuing statements on matters relating to teaching and research.
