Mittelstand enterprises not only make a significant social contribution in times of crisis but also generally contribute to the sustainability and resilience of regions. Dr Susanne Schlepphorst presented a research paper at the Research in Entrepreneurship and Small Business (RENT) conference in Naples on the collaboration between family entrepreneurs and regional communities – and the resulting increase in societal value creation.
Prof Dr Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) presented together with Dr Simone Schmid (University of Siegen) the research results of the study project "The rise and fall of entrepreneurship in the public eye: How media shape the image of entrepreneurship in Germany".
The 36th RENT took place from 16-18 November in Naples under the lead topic "Rethinking entrepreneurship after the crisis".
