Dr Annette Icks and Michael Holz believe that a paradigm shift in politics is needed to efficiently reduce bureaucracy. They presented their findings at an event organised by the New Social Market Economy Initiative in Berlin on 22 May.
In their study "Analysis of the bureaucratic burden in Germany – How can bureaucracy be noticeably reduced", Dr Annette Icks and Michael Holz showed that entrepreneurs not only perceive the bureaucratic burden as too disproportionate, but also that most of them are losing the joy of entrepreneurial activity.
The participants also visited the first and only bureaucracy museum in Germany as part of the INSM event.
