It is an undisputed fact that entrepreneurship is characterised by diversity. However, the term "entrepreneurial diversity" is defined and used very differently in the research literature.

In their introduction to the Special Issue "Concepts and facets of entrepreneurial diversity: moving the discussion forward", Ass.Prof. Dr. Kerstin Ettl (Westfälische Hochschule Bocholt), Dr. Siegrun Brink and Ass.Prof. Dr. Silke Tegtmeier (University of Southern Denmark) give an overview of the different definitions and applications of the term. They also suggest exploring entrepreneurial diversity more closely in terms of the specific characteristics of the entrepreneur, the company itself and the respective context, as well as their interplay and possible overlaps.

The Special Issue "Concepts and Facets Of Entrepreneurial Diversity" was published as part of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing.
