What are the future challenges for the Mittelstand economy? How can the next government support businesses in coping with the tasks facing them? Answers to these questions are given by Prof. Dr. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/ University of Siegen) and Britta Levering in their article "Mittelstand policy after Corona – for a sustainable future".
The two authors plead for the establishment of a reliable economic policy framework in which Mittelstand enterprises can operate. The goal should be to strengthen the competitiveness and innovative capacity of the enterprises in the long term.
The article has just been published in "Perspectives on Economic Policy" at the end of August.
