Guests at the IfM Brittelstand is more regional in its activities

The so-called “Brittelstand” in Great Britain are owner-managed small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) that are appreciated worldwide for their product innovations and quality as well as for their service.

Prof. Dr. Maksim Belitski (Henley Business School, University of Reading/United Kingdom) pointed out at the IfM Bonn Forum at the end of November what a key characteristic of these companies is: they cooperate closely with their own customers at regional level and initiate innovations in this way. In contrast, the SMEs that do not belong to the “Brittelstand” seek (worldwide) functional cooperation with other (larger) companies.
