Decarbonisation in the manufacturing industry is an important aspect of the ecological transformation. Research by Prof Dr Jörn Block (University of Trier/University of Witten), Solvej Lorenzen (University of Witten) and Dr Holger Steinmetz (University of Trier) shows that medium-sized industrial companies are taking climate protection seriously – and have already implemented concrete measures.
They show in their article " Decarbonisation of medium-sized firms in the manufacturing sector" for the Policy Brief series "Entrepreneurship in Focus" the different paths that manufacturing companies are taking. At the same time, they explain what motivates the companies.
