How can diversity management be further fostered in SMEs? What are the advantages of mixed teams? Dr Teita Bijedić presented the results of various IfM studies in the context of diversity at the panel discussion at the FDP event "Das hat Zukunft – Diversity im Mittelstand". These included also the results of the study "Der Schutz vor Diskriminierung und die Förderung personaler Vielfalt im Arbeitsleben".
The survey for the study showed that diversity management is common practice in large companies, whereas SME implement diversity measures as reaction to particular events. SME are in need for support for implementation of diversity measures as well as more awareness for diversity and risks of discrimination.
