External publication | 2021 Conceptual and disciplinary genesis of entrepreneurship education

Entrepreneurship education is a diverse and interdisciplinary field of teaching and research. While entrepreneurship education is gradually being established as a teaching field in broad parts of the (adult) education system, entrepreneurship education research is strongly application-oriented and at the same time still monodisciplinary in accordance with its origins in business foundation. Particularly in the context of school education, however, there an understanding of entrepreneurship as entrepreneurial thinking and action that can be interpreted in several contexts. In this paper, the disciplinary genesis of entrepreneurship education is examined from concept-defining and disciplinary perspective of economic education.
