The business statistics of the Chambers of Skilled Crafts and Small Businesses hold a worthwhile data potential for start-up and SME research: on the basis of role data, for example, the effects of (de)regulation effects on business dynamics can be shown, regional business clusters can be identified and the consequences of the Corona crisis on start-up activity can be described.
