Companies that are affected by a crisis are not only more innovative, their innovations also contribute significantly to the improvement of the company's economic situation. This is the conclusion reached by Dr Siegrun Brink, Dr Christian Schröder, Dr Sebastian Nielen and Prof. Dr Christina Günther in their working paper "Innovation in Times of Crisis: Does Pre-Existing Innovation Experience Matter?".
Their paper has been published in the IfM Bonn Working Paper series. This series enables researchers working on start-ups, self-employment, family businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises to publish their findings before they appear in an academic journal.
