Participation in external events IfM President at conferences in Copenhagen

Professor Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) participated in a panel discussion on "The Role of Industrial Policy in Shaping Innovation" at the conference "Reimagining Entrepreneurship & Innovation for the 21st Century: Tailored Solutions to Global Challenges" in Copenhagen on 23 July. The conference was organised by the Taiwanese policy think tank CAPRI, the Project on Democracy & Capitalism at the University of Virginia and Rethinking Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School.

At the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM 2025) in Copenhagen, the IfM President participated as a panellist in the workshop "Addressing the 'Spatial Turn' in Entrepreneurship Research: New Dimensions and Emerging Issues". As co-author she presented the paper "Entrepreneurs at the Top of the Pyramid: Why Women in Chinese Elite Families do Entrepreneurship" and was a discussant on the panel "Entrepreneurial Resilience in Polycrisis at the Individual, Business, and Ecosystem Levels".

Dr Markus-Rieger Fels presented his research findings on "Value chain dependencies and climate risks in the value chain" at the AOM using a poster.
