Polytechnic colleges play an important role in India in developing sustainable skills. “In times of skills shortages, however, these institutions are also of interest to German companies,” reported Dr. Sebastian Schneider in his presentation “Polytechnics in India’s VET System: Multi-Level Perspectives on Attractiveness and Employability” at the end of September at the “Sustainability in Vocational Education and Training (VET)” conference in Cologne. Indian skilled workers are already employed in Germany in the automotive sector and as logistics specialists.
