During this year’s “Oxford Residence Week for Entrepreneurship Scholars”, held in mid-June in Varese, Italy, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/University of Siegen) and Dr Vinzenz Peters discussed again their latest research findings with other international entrepreneurship researchers: In her presentation, the IfM President highlighted the possibilities and limitations of academic policy advice.
Dr Vinzenz Peters examined in his presentation how differently banks across Europe respond to extreme weather events in their lending practices, and what (potential) consequences this has for the economic resilience of the regions affected. He had shown in a previous publication that there is a link between the amount and maturity of liabilities and the economic resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe to flooding.
