Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Friederike Welter (IfM Bonn/ University of Siegen) took part as a panellist at the SPD Economic Forum's economic conference "Transforming Growth: Location Policy in Germany, Europe and the World". Together with Dr Dierk Hirschel (ver.di), State Secretary Bernd Krösser (Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland) and Michael Wiener (SPD Economic Forum), she discussed the topic "Dynamics instead of bureaucracy: new opportunities for Germany as a business location". The conference took place in Berlin in mid-March.
