Having a self-employed partner is associated with a higher frequency of disagreements and quarrels in relationships. The reason: As self-employed people make many professional decisions, they are also more likely to interfere in their partners' private decisions. This is the conclusion find by Dr Stefan Schneck in his article "Being the boss at work and at home – Self-employment and conflicts between partners", which is published in the March issue of the "Journal of Behavioural and Experimental Economics".
