Facts and figures | 2026 Foreign trade relations of German SMEs with China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

In light of international (trade) crises, European economic policy is pushing for greater regional diversification in companies’ sales and procurement channels. This applies in particular to trade relations with China. However, the German economy is intensifying its foreign trade relations with China and Taiwan. This development is largely driven by industrial and large enterprises.
