The European SME-Action Programme provides an analysis of the current situation and main challenges for European SMEs in six main policy areas: Better regulation, access to markets, access to finance, entrepreneurship, skills and training, and digitisation of SMEs. Thereby, the report also addresses new topics such as the sharing economy or innovative forms of financing. The chapters include insights into national SME policies and good practices and identify directions and opportunities for action on European and Member State level.
