Bio

Teemu Kautonen is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Aalto University School of Business since 1 January 2014. Prior to joining Aalto, he worked at various universities and research institutes in Finland, Germany and the UK. He also holds a joint professorial appointment at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile.

Teemu's research combines economic and psychological perspectives to entrepreneurship with a strong quantitative focus. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management and Regional Studies.

Teemu is an editorial board member in several journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, International Small Business Journal and Journal of Business Venturing. He is also active in collaborating with policy makers. He has advised ministries in Finland and Germany as well as ILO, the OECD, the European Commission and Eurostat on enterprise policy matters.
